New Delhi, June 11, 2025 — India has witnessed a concerning rise in COVID-19 infections, with 306 new cases and six deaths reported in the last 24 hours. The active caseload now stands at 7,121, according to data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at 8:00 am IST on Wednesday.
This uptick, though moderate compared to earlier waves, has prompted health authorities to issue precautionary advisories amid the ongoing spread of the JN.1 subvariant, which currently accounts for 53% of all cases nationally.
